Kick off the weekend with great views and sampling of brews! This Friday OYC is teaming up our friends at Discretion Brewingto give you a sampling of some of their tasty brews, while sailing on the beautiful Monterey Bay. Gourmet pizza by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery is included and Discretion's knowledgable staff will be pouring. Sail and get to know your local brewers! Tickets are $40 and advance purchase is strongly recommended.

The perfect way to end the day and start your evening is with a sail aboard the Team O'Neill catamaran! Join us as we sail alongside the Wednesday night sail boat races on Monterey Bay, where everyone wants to get a front row seat. Perfect for couples, families, celebrations or just a great way to get away for a while.

During these lovely evening sails you will:

• Experience the thrill and excitement as upwards of 50 local sailboats head out onto Monterey Bay for the Wednesday Night Races. There's no winner, just lots of fun, fast boats, and smiles all around!
• Savor the sea breezes and the colorful display of sailboats while relaxing on board with friends during this 1.5-hour sailing experience.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase and as always, packing a picnic dinner is encouraged.
Cruises are limited to 49 passengers, so don't miss this unique opportunity to cruise along the picturesque Santa Cruz coastline aboard the spacious 65' Team O’Neill catamaran.

Join Vino Tabi Winery aboard the Team O'Neill catamaran for an unforgettable Wednesday night cruise. Pouring signature varietals and pairing them with an array of treats and sweets, Vino Tabi sommeliers will provide a fun, interactive way for passengers to learn about wine against the backdrop of the local Wednesday night sailboat races. This 1.5-hour sail departs at 6 PM and tickets are $40.

This year, in addition to our fantastic weekend sails on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, we're offering a sweet 1.5-hour sail on Monday, May 26 so you can celebrate the long weekend from the best view in town.
On this sail, passengers will experience a relaxing sail along the Santa Cruz coastline, while also being in prime position to spot our beautiful marine life, including dolphins, sea otters, sea lions and whales.

The recent abundance of fantastic whale activity off the Santa Cruz coastline has given O'Neill Yacht Charters the opportunity to offer special two-hour whale watching cruises on the 65' Team O'Neill Catamaran. These sails will put you in the right place at the right time to get up close to the majestic marine life that has made quite a splash the past couple weeks. OYC wants you to experience seeing them in a unique way, so bring the whole family and come see these humpbacks before they depart.

Wednesday Night Sails Get a New Look - Two Special Events in One!

Al Frisby is a headlining local
talent not to be missed!

Throughout August and September, we are bringing together two of Santa Cruz's best bets for local fun - sailboat races and live music! On select Wednesday nights, we are setting sail for an hour and a half excursion to get up close to the stunning fleet of sailboats, while enjoying the jazzy blues tunes of Al Frisby, all against the awesome sunset backdrop. These extra special sails are a treat for families, friends, couples, visitors and locals alike. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online today. Don't miss out on either of these fantastic local experiences!

Vino Tabi returns this month for another pouring and pairing of their handcrafted wines! On Wednesday, August 21 at 6 PM, our hour and a half sail offers the chance to enjoy this Westside winery's best bottles of red and white, along with a delicious spread of cheeses, veggies, meats and sweets. With our first Wine Sail of the season with Muns Vineyard having been a huge success, we are thrilled to welcome Vino Tabi aboard next on Wednesday, July 17 at 6 PM! This special hour and a half sail gives passengers the opportunity to taste Vino Tabi's carefully crafted wines and delicious food pairings against the backdrop of the weekly sailboat races. Couples, friends, wine enthusiasts and those still acquiring their taste can enjoy this informative and relaxing sail. Reserve your tickets today.

Al Frisby sets the mood for a great cruise

This July through September we welcome Al Frisby & His One-Man New Orleans Band as our featured summer musician on our annual Music Cruises! These hour and a half Saturday afternoon sails invite you to enjoy the Monterey Bay accompanied by Frisby's bayou-inspired tunes, bringing a bit of the South to the West. These concerts at sea are an experience not to be missed, so bring your group out to rock the day away. The next Music Cruise will be Saturday, July 27 at 2:30 PM. View all upcoming sails.

Recent Wildlife Sightings

Get a look at these visitors before they leave

Pacific leatherback sea turtles have been spotted along the Santa Cruz coast over the past couple weeks! As the official California marine reptile, these endangered sea turtles are an amazing sight and rare to see in our area. They are the largest sea turtles and travel frequently. Be on the lookout for them on your next sail!

The 2013 Public Sailing season kicks off with our Mother's Day Sail On May 12th
 - sailing at 2:00 and 3:30.

June Sailing Adventures

Make this coming Father's Day one to remember and surprise your Dad or Grandpa with a fun filled afternoon sail on the 65' Team O'Neill Catamaran! We'll even treat him to one complimentary beverage. Book your tickets now for Sunday June 17th - we’ll be setting sail at 1:00 and 2:30 from the Santa Cruz Harbor.

Also, our official kick-off for the Saturday Day Sails begins on June 9th sailing at 3:00 and 4:30. This is a fun and relaxing way to get away for a bit and see Santa Cruz from a different vantage point.

The 1 hour Day Sails are still a awesome deal at just $20.00, the 1 ½ hour sail is just $30 and as always, wee ones under 5 ride for free with a paid adult ticket. Check out our entire summer calendar.

UPCOMING SPECIALTY SAILS

Our first Sea and Taste Santa Cruz Sail is happening on Saturday June 23rd at 3pm, when our friends from True Olive Connection treat us to their fine Olive Oil Pairings! YUM!

Another first of the season will be our Sunset Music Sail featuring Al Frisby and his one man New Orleans Jazz Band. This festive all American sail takes place on July 4th at 8pm. Our friends at the Farmer’s almanac are calling for a full Thunder moon that evening – it is the 4thof July and you never know what type of thunder you may hear!

Speaking of the 4th – The O’Cat will be sailing during the day at 2:30 and 5:30. Come dressed in your finest Red, White and Blue!
