This month the Rudolph Monte Foundation holds its 20th anniversary celebration and fireworks spectacular on Saturday, October 11, setting off the show in Capitola Village. On this 2-hour cruise, we'll get you in prime position to view the fireworks, so you can experience them from the most unique and ideal vantage point in town. Tickets are $45 and gourmet pizza by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery is included.

Join Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery aboard the Team O'Neill catamaran for a the last Local Wine Tasting Sail of the season! On this unforgettable Wednesday night cruise, the Hunter Hill sommeliers will Pour signature varietals and pair them with an array of treats and sweets. These 1.5-hour sails provide a fun, interactive way for passengers to learn about wine against the backdrop of the local Wednesday night sailboat races. Tickets are $40 and sail departs at 5:30 PM.

On Friday, October 17 OYC is teaming up with our friends at Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing for the LAST Local Beer Sampling Sail of the season, to give you a sampling of some of their tasty brews, while sailing on the beautiful Monterey Bay. Gourmet pizza by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery is included and SCMB's knowledgable staff will be pouring. Get to know your local brewers and come aboard for this fun cruise that'll get your weekend off to a great start. Tickets are $40 and advance purchase is strongly recommended.

On these unforgettable sails, you will:

• Experience the fun of sailing on a smooth, stable catamaran that new or experienced sailors will enjoy. 


• Sail out in the bay along the scenic Santa Cruz coastline, taking in such sights as the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz Wharf, multiple lighthouses and beautiful beaches.

• Check out the surfers at the world famous Steamer Lane.


• Sail through the kelp forest where you may catch a glimpse of sea lions, seals, sea otters, turtles and dolphins. Look out farther on to the bay and you may even spot a whale or two.

Wednesday Night Sails Get a New Look - Two Special Events in One!

Al Frisby is a headlining local
talent not to be missed!

Throughout August and September, we are bringing together two of Santa Cruz's best bets for local fun - sailboat races and live music! On select Wednesday nights, we are setting sail for an hour and a half excursion to get up close to the stunning fleet of sailboats, while enjoying the jazzy blues tunes of Al Frisby, all against the awesome sunset backdrop. These extra special sails are a treat for families, friends, couples, visitors and locals alike. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online today. Vino Tabi returns this month for another pouring and pairing of their handcrafted wines! On Wednesday, August 21 at 6 PM, our hour and a half sail offers the chance to enjoy this Westside winery's best bottles of red and white, along with a delicious spread of cheeses, veggies, meats and sweets. This special hour and a half sail gives passengers the opportunity to taste Vino Tabi's carefully crafted wines and delicious food pairings against the backdrop of the weekly sailboat races. Al Frisby sets the mood for a great cruise

This July through September we welcome Al Frisby & His One-Man New Orleans Band as our featured summer musician on our annual Music Cruises! These hour and a half Saturday afternoon sails invite you to enjoy the Monterey Bay accompanied by Frisby's bayou-inspired tunes, bringing a bit of the South to the West. Recent Wildlife Sightings

Get a look at these visitors before they leave

Pacific leatherback sea turtles have been spotted along the Santa Cruz coast over the past couple weeks! As the official California marine reptile, these endangered sea turtles are an amazing sight and rare to see in our area. They are the largest sea turtles and travel frequently. Be on the lookout for them on your next sail!

O’Neill Yacht Charters is excited to announce the return of our Saturday Day sails for the summer of 2011.

Sailing aboard the 65' Team O’Neill Catamaran is a fantastic way to celebrate the ocean and to view the beautiful Santa Cruz coastline from afar. It’s a great activity for locals and visitors alike. The time length is just right for a pleasant afternoon activity, with plenty of time left over to stroll the harbor, play on the beach or visit one of the local restaurants.

This is the last weekend for our Saturday Day Sails. These sails are still a great deal at $20.00 for 1 hour and as always, wee ones under 5 ride for free with a paid adult ticket on the Day Sails.

Our last Sail of the season will be a Musical one on Saturday October 1st @3pm. Al J. Frisby, a one man New Orleans band will be entertaining guest as we sail along the picturesque Santa Cruz Coastline! Born in the historic 9th Ward of New Orleans in 1959, Al Frisby grew up smack dab in the crossroads of many of America’s musical styles. Since leaving New Orleans in the 1980’s he has entertained audiences from coast to coast with his skill as a instrumentalist and his impressive knowledge of American roots music. You don’t want to miss this one!
