Wine Tasting feat. Private Vine Wines | Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 PM
Sip and sail your way around the bay as Private Vine Wines (formerly Vino Tabi Winery) comes aboard with their signature varietals and light h'orderves. This sail is a fun way to learn about the winemaking process and take in the beauty along the coastline. Tickets are $40 and advance purchase is required.

Our sailing season is full speed ahead and our local-favorite Beer Sampling sails are back for your enjoyment! Kick off your weekend on select Friday nights with craft beer from the best brewers in town, paired with delicious pizza from Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery. You'll get to meet some of the team behind the brews and enjoy the amazing view of the coastline and bay from the catamaran. Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing is coming aboard next on June 26 and tickets are $40. Advance purchase is required.


Independence Day Events | July 4th Afternoon & Evening Sails
Come celebrate Independence Day on one of our four exciting sails on Saturday, July 4. Our sails are a memorable way to enjoy the holiday and fun for the whole family. We have a full day of sails for you, so join us either early in the day for an afternoon sail or for our special 1.5-hour late evening sail, that will put you in prime position to view any of the fireworks. Get your tickets today!

Kicking off an exciting season of Local Beer Sampling Sails, Discretion Brewing will be coming aboard with a variety of their brews for you to enjoy, in addition to complimentary pizza. Uncommon Brewerscome aboard on June 12 and Santa Cruz Mountain Brewingjoins on June 26. Tickets are $40 and advance purchase is required.




Wine Tasting feat. Bonny Doon Vineyard | June 17 at 6:30 PM
Sip and sail your way around the bay as Bonny Doon Vineyard comes aboard with their signature varietals and light h'orderves. Gourmet pizza by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery is included and SCMB's knowledgable staff will be pouring. Get to know your local brewers and come aboard for this fun cruise that'll get your weekend off to a great start. Tickets are $40 and advance purchase is strongly recommended.

Enjoy the breathtaking Santa Cruz coastline aboard the 65' Team O'Neill catamaran and discover the beauty of the Monterey Bay. These relaxing afternoon cruises are perfect for outings with the whole family and friends or just a date with your loved one.


On these unforgettable sails, you will:

• Experience the fun of sailing on a smooth, stable catamaran that new or experienced sailors will enjoy. 


• Sail out in the bay along the scenic Santa Cruz coastline, taking in such sights as the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz Wharf, multiple lighthouses and beautiful beaches.

• Check out the surfers at the world famous Steamer Lane.


• Sail through the kelp forest where you may catch a glimpse of sea lions, seals, sea otters, turtles and dolphins. Look out farther on to the bay and you may even spot a whale or two.

The Team O'Neill is open and spacious with plenty of room to stretch out. You can walk the deck, roll on the trampoline or simply sit back and enjoy the ride. Our experienced crew and US Coast Guard licensed skippers will make sure your sail is fun and safe for the whole family.

This month the Rudolph Monte Foundation holds its 20th anniversary celebration and fireworks spectacular on Saturday, October 11, setting off the show in Capitola Village. On this 2-hour cruise, we'll get you in prime position to view the fireworks, so you can experience them from the most unique and ideal vantage point in town. Tickets are $45 and gourmet pizza by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery is included.

Summer Whale Watching Cruises
Saturday mornings at 8 AM

The Monterey Bay is currently experiencing some of the most frequent humpback whale activity of the year, and they have been continously spotted just off the Santa Cruz coastline. Though OYC sees many whales during our regular weekend sails, we're bringing you a extended sailing experience so we can take you further onto the bay to spot these summer whales. 

What's Included:

• A 3 to 3.5-hour whale watch excursion, where we'll cruise around the bay in search of our local whale activity.
• A hot breakfast catered by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery. Breakfast includes meat and veggie breakfast burritos, fresh seasonal fruit and your choice of coffee, tea or water.
• The best view of the Monterey Bay's wildlife on the smooth and stable 65' Team O'Neill catamaran. 

Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended. Kids under 5 sail for free.

General Whale Activity by Season:

SPRING: Humpback whales throughout the spring, with a few gray whales in the beginning of the season.
SUMMER: Humpback whales, blue whales and fin whales.
FALL: Humpback whales and blue whales.
WINTER: Migrating gray whales.
YEAR-ROUND: Dolphins, sea lions, sea otters and local and migratory birds, looking for food or just playing in the ocean.

Kick off the weekend with great views and sampling of brews! This summer OYC is partnering with the best Santa Cruz breweries to bring you a variety of what's brewing in town. Starting off the series is Discretion Brewing on June 6. Santa Cruz Ale Works and Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery will also be pouring throughout the summer. Sails depart at 6 PM and tickets are $40, so grab your friends and family and start the weekend off right.
