The Santa Cruz Wharf is celebrating its centennial all day on Saturday, October 4 and topping off the events with a fireworks show at 9 PM. The Monte Foundation is holding its 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 11 and setting off their fireworks spectacular in Capitola. On these nights, OYC's two-hour cruises will provide a unique and ideal vantage point to see the fireworks from, along with complimentary gourmet pizza.

The perfect way to end the day and start your evening is with a sail aboard the Team O'Neill catamaran! Join us as we sail alongside the Wednesday night sail boat races on Monterey Bay, where everyone wants to get a front row seat. Perfect for couples, families, celebrations or just a great way to get away for a while.

During these lovely evening sails you will:

• Experience the thrill and excitement as upwards of 50 local sailboats head out onto Monterey Bay for the Wednesday Night Races. There's no winner, just lots of fun, fast boats, and smiles all around!
• Savor the sea breezes and the colorful display of sailboats while relaxing on board with friends during this 1.5-hour sailing experience.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase and as always, packing a picnic dinner is encouraged.

Whale Watching Cruises

The Monterey Bay is currently experiencing some of the most frequent humpback whale activity of the year, and they have been continously spotted just off the Santa Cruz coastline. Though OYC sees many whales during our regular weekend sails, we're bringing you an extended sailing experience so we can take you further onto the bay to spot these summer whales. 

What's Included:

• A 3 to 3.5-hour whale watch excursion, where we'll cruise around the bay in search of our local whale activity.
• A hot breakfast catered by Pleasure Pizza's East Side Eatery. Breakfast includes meat and veggie breakfast burritos, fresh seasonal fruit and your choice of coffee, tea or water.
• The best view of the Monterey Bay's wildlife on the smooth and stable 65' Team O'Neill catamaran.

Looking for a mid-day sail that'll provide a fun experience for the whole family? Then come aboard for one of our relaxing and scenic Afternoon Day Sails. These 1-hour and 1.5-hour sails are the ideal sails for everyone, from those who are new to boating to those who are local return passengers. SPRING: Humpback whales throughout the spring, with a few gray whales in the beginning of the season.
SUMMER: Humpback whales, blue whales and fin whales.
